Cross-industry COVID-19 Guidance

WorkSafe's guidance approach following the sun-setting of the Pandemic Orders.
In the absence of the Orders, WorkSafe’s regulatory and enforcement role is the same as for other endemic infectious diseases, like influenza.
As such, and except for healthcare which remains a high risk industry for exposure to COVID-19 for Victorian workers, WorkSafe will sunset its industry and issue based COVID-19 guidance materials and replace it with the attached cross-industry COVID-19 guidance document.
Please note that this does not contain new information - it is a consolidation of the previous COVID-19 guidance and it clearly articulates that employers still need to consider their obligations under the OHS Act and consult with their employees about reasonably practicable COVID-19 controls. It also clarifies that employers need to assess the risk of exposure to COVID-19, and advises what appropriate controls might be considered.
